Last Thursday students from Joanot Martorell High School took part in a fund raising for Nepal Earthquake victims. This activity was one of the ones carried out by the English Department within the Erasmus Plus Project: Joanot Martorell Educative Digital Magazine. Students from 1st ESO visited the open market in San Fulgencio. This activity applied the education through community action approach, in which students both learnt to make something (piggy boxes from reclycled material, key rings and badges in class) and contributed to raise money for the victims of the earthquake in Nepal (offering their work in exchange of a donation). At the same time students had to interact with native speakers in English, which was highly motivating for them.
